Open a new image, and fill the background with a color. For this tutorial I am going to use the same color to apply the text, as the background color, which is #908A7B |
Step 2 Now apply your text using the same color as your background color, floating, anti-alias checked. While your text is still selected, apply the Blade Pro |
Step 3 Now, go to your Effects/Illumination/ Lights and apply one of the following settings. |

At this point if you really wanted to you could colorize your text some, but I have found that most of the time doing that will take away some of the metallic look. You can colorize by going to COLORS/COLORIZE |

Next we want to add a drop shadow to the text, so go to Image/Effects/Drop Shadow

And apply drop shadow with the following settings

This is what your end result looks like. The first one is done with the settings we used in this tutorial. The other 3 are applied with other colors of text. Play around with your lighting and you will surprised at the nice effects you can come up with !
