Making A Water Drop
This technique will show you how to make a water drop that can be used in making 'gems' or 'jewels' for your web art. You need Alien Skin's Eye Candy and Paint Shop Pro for this technique..
The first thing you do is make a new image. Make sure your settings are as follows. Anti-Alias checked, feather 0, and your Selection type on Circle.

Now draw your circle, making it as large as you need for your purposes. For this illustration, I have made it large so you can easily see the effects, as we go through the steps. Then Flood fill your circle with the color of your choice. Continue to keep your circle 'selected' ( those little marching ants are still active )

Now go to your Eye Candy 'Water Drop' and using the following settings, apply the filter.

The problem at this stage, is that there is a little 'ring' around the edge of the water drop, so we are going to get rid of that circle. Don't deselect your circle just yet...let those marching ants keep marching !

Go to 'Selection' / 'Modify' / 'Contract'

Contract your Selection. The amount that you 'contract' will depend on how large your image is, so this will vary from image to image. Experiment with it until you get the amount that works best for your image you are creating. For this tutorial, I have contracted this circle by 6 pixels.

Now this is what the water drop looks at this stage

Now 'Invert' the selection

Go to EDIT / CLEAR ( be sure your background is still toggled at the color of the background you are using. )

You now have your water drop with no ring around the edge. Save your image in the file format of your choice.
